day fifteen

We give You thanks today, O God, for the Casa’s commitment to the resolution of conflict through peaceful means. In a world torn apart by violence and war that seems unending, the Casa has stood as a beacon for peace, inspired by Francis of Assisi, the former soldier and prisoner of war who came to understand that only love can conquer hatred.

  1. Peace at the Casa began for me with a smile from a stranger. Peace grew with an invitation to be an RCIA sponsor. I waded in the peaceful acceptance of my views, my ideas, my truest self and even my missteps.I am grateful to all those at the Casa who create a space for peace. I believe that peace arises from with me but the Casa is a place where the smallest seed of peace that I plant can find fertile ground to grow.
